AUSTRALIAN OPINION ANSWER IN 24 HOURS (Reed. Aug. 29, noon) MELBOURNE, Aug. 29. Easing opinion on the continuous stream of diplomatic messages from Britain, the Prime Minister, Mr. R. G. Men’zies, said that there were good and bad features in the events of the last 24 hours.
“The position is still intensely critical,’’ he said, “but on the whole I do not think there has been any noticeable alteration. The next 24 hours should give us the answer.’]?
