FOOTBALL CLUB BALL
ENJOYABLE FUNCTION
(Herald Correspondent.) The Korahga Football Club’s ball, •held in the Mali aw a i Hall on Friday night, was a. very enjoyable function. The music was supplied by Miss L. RUrU's orchestra, while MiSs N. 'Coates and Mr. G. Dutton played extras. A delicious sdpper was served, and thl tables were tastefully decorated lh the Koranga club’s colours. Miss J. McPike and Mrs. Foster were in Charge of the supper arrangements. Mr, Foster was the M.C.
During the evening, Mr. G. Phillips, in 'the absence of Mr. F. Siniton, the patron- of the club, presented Mr. R. Graham’s medal to Mr. R. Poulgrain for the most improved player. Mr 'Phillips spoke of Mr. Graham’s ability ai?/ a player and his strong support of the Koranga club. Among those present were Miss J. McPike, wearing an emerald' green taffeta ifrock with a white fur evening coat; Mrs. Foster, champagne ctoqufe; Mrs. Boyes, Motu, midnight htye lace with navy blue embossed shier cape; Mrs. N. Thomas, petunia taffeta; Mrs. F. Thomas, white floral satin; Mrs; W. Mortleman, black taffeta; Mrs. G. Mortleman, striped satin frock; Mrs. D. Kerekere, red crepe. Miss M. _ Tombleson wore a frock of 'sky blue floral crepe-de-chine with black coatee; Miss H. Redpath, ivory taffeta with silver trimmings; Miss B. Toimiblinsori, white taffeta; Miss K. Beadfoy, hjdpier, black floral taffeta; Miss L. B'&mfoy, saxe blue lace with white .figured isatin cocktail coat; Miss M. ißeaufoy, floral crepe; Miss H. Parker, .Auckland, geranium patMned cloque; Miss J. Norrie, Christirch, navy blue floral crepe-de-chine; Miss J. Twistleton, salmon pink figured cloque; Miss J. Boyes, black chiffon velvet; Miss M. Gibson, fuschda taffeta. Miss N.. Coates (Puba) had chosen a frock of .black lace with red; Miss Ruru, red frock with black ernbrbidered coatee; M.iss K - Shaw, striped tinsel frock; Miss S. Twistletdh, Sea green cloque; Miss C. Fleming, ,beige lace; Miss F. Moffat, black satin. 1 *'' with silver; .Miss J. Jackson, blue‘tdftetd; Miss M. Jackson, coral taffeta; Miss G. Mazengadb, peacock blue striped cloque. Euchre Tournament Ah ahjbyable euchre tournament was 'held in the Institute Hall in Maitawal on Saturday evening.
Prizes were won by Mrs. C. Petersen, Miss 'D. Ashdown and Messrs. A Bulst and C. Ashdown. Supper was dispensed by .the ladies. Personals .Mr. iB. -Malone Is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Malone, Matawai.—Mr. Ron Fisher 'has been spending a few days with his brother in the Waioeka Valley.—Miss Catcotit is spending her vacation with her parents in Matawai. —Miss C. Fleming is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. H. Bulst, “Rayview.”— Mr. and Mrs. F. Sirtton, Mr. S. Sinton and Miss L. Fielder are visiting Auckland.
