SUCCESSFUL DANCE SCOUTS’ JAMBOREE FUND (Herald Correspondent.) A very successful 'dance in aid of the First Kopuawhara Boy Scouts' jamboree fund was organised by the energetic committee and held in the No. 3 Y.M.CjA. on Saturday night. Ther e was excellent support from residents, which resulted in a sulbs'tan.iial sum being raised. The thanks of the committee were expressed to Mr. Jock Coutts and Mr. C. Chesley, who supplied the music free. The -prize .for the Monte Carlo waltz, which was donated by Crombie’s Store, was wen by Miss Highet and Mr. C. Gordon, while Mr. W. Bennett’s prize for the “Mr. X’’ competition was won by Miss Iris Peryer. Mr. G. W. C’ough’s fruit cake, -which was donated for an estimating competition, was won by Scout Tom dimming, while the shaving set donated by Herbert’s, Wairoa, went to Mrs. W. Riley. During the evening the Scouts entertained with a few of their games and demonstrations of work. Mr. J. Stewart cip'albly carried out the duties of (M.C.
