Kewpie’s Triumph led early from Double Great, Our McKinney, Bayard, and Kewpie’s King, with Red Flush on the outside. Half a mile from home Kenworthy went up fast to take charge from Our McKinney, Red Flush, Kewpie’s King, and Sandusky. Keniworthy turned for home from Our McKinney, but the latter finished well to win decisively by half a length. Kenworthy was a neck ahead of Kewpie’s King. Sandusky was fourth. Then came Red Flush.
