HOME AGAIN
PREMIER LEAVES HOSPITAL LOOKING VERY' WERE (Special to the Herald.) WELLINGTON, this day. _ Looking remarkably well after his stay in hospital, the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, left Lewisham Hospital to-day .for his home in Northland. He was accompanied by the Speaker of the Legislative Council, the Hon. M. Fagan, and the Minister of Mines, the Hon. P. C. Webb Before leaving, Mr. Savage said good-bve to those who had looked after him, and also to some of the patients. . . He walked out to the waiting cai in high spirits, but just as the cai was leaving he suddenly remembeied he had forgotten to thank one of the .sisters who looked after him. He stopped the car, walked back to the hospital, and remedied the omission. On arrival at his home in Noithland Mr. Savage walked up the steps to the front door without difficulty, and immediately sat down to lus morning cup of broth. Mr. Savage was a patient in the hospital for a little more than three weeks. He underwent an operation on August 4. It is not likely that lie will resume his official duties in the House of Representatives this session. Yesterday the Governor-General, Viscount Galway, visited Mr. Savage in hospital. Mr. Webb, who had been a patient in the same hospital for eye trouble, left yesterday. He expects to be completely right in a few days, though he still wears dark glasses.
