ATTEMPT ON LIFE DISCOVERY BY POLICE (Reed. Aug. 28, 2.10 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 27. The Warsaw correspondent of the News Exchange says that Polish wireless-, istat-ions to-night broadcast a story that the German Gestapo -had discovered a plot against-Hem- Hitler in which military members of the Reichstag and- some Nazi party members were involved. It is stated; that the proposal to summon the Reichstag on September 8 to hear Ilerr Hitler’s proposals to Britain was 'abandoned after the discovery at the Krol'L Opera -House of complete preparations for an attempt on- the life of Herr Hitler. A strong military 'contingent was .posted) at the Opera House and many arrests were made in Berlin and) throughout the Reich.
