Kilts On Hockey Field

The novel .method' of -being led on to the field by two kilted lassies was adopted by the Caledonian hockey team- on the Childers Road Reserve on Saturday. Misses Kathleen and Constance Burke, Masterton, who were in Gisborne for the Competitions festival, were in full Highland costume for the -purpose, which provided a pleasing diversion to the day’s hookey. Unfortunately, there was- no piper present.
