CENSURE IN PARIS
GERMAN-SOVIET PACT
AGGRAVATING DANGER
MINISTER’S “LONG LEAVE”
ORecd. Aug. 28, 9 a.m.) PARIS, Aug. 26,
The Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies issued a communique stating that the GermanSoviet pact is contrary to the previous Franco-Soviet engagement. Although it was described as 1 a non-aggression pact, continued the communique, it only aggravated the danger of war, tout (this would not lessen France's determination to resist aggression and defend peace with honour and dignity. The French Ambassador in Moscow, M. Naggiar, has been recalled from Moscow on tong leave, indicating that France is dissatisfied with the Soviet’s explanations. It is hinted that the Soviet Foreign Minister, M. Molotov, practically insulted' the British Ambassador in .Moscow, Sir William Seeds, while he also was riot cordial towards M. Naggiar.
