REMAND GRANTED

INTOXICATION CHARGE SUPPRESSION OF NAME Three charges, including one of having been found intoxicated while In charge of a motor vehicle on Saturday, were preferred against a 23-year-old man when he appeared in the Police Court this morning. Appearing for the defendant Mr. M. R. Maude opposed a remand until September 4, suggesting that the case could be heard to-morrow. After hearing submissions by Senior-Sergeant J- F. H. Macnamara, t'he presiding justices, Messrs. Myles Doyle and J. E. Elliston, J.Ps., granted a remand until September 4. An application for the suppression of his client’s name was made by Mr. Maude and was granted by the Bench.

The defendant was admitted to hail in the amount, of £SO, with one surety of the same amount.
