DOMINION ACTIVITY
NATIONAL SECURITY • BUSY WEEK-END PERIOD MEETING OF THE CABINET (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. There was considerable activity in Parliament Buildings during the week-end in quarters concerned with the handling of dispatches from Britain and in the offices of the organisation for national security. A special meeting of .the Cabinet was helrt yesterday afternoon to consider the latest advices bearing on the European crisis, but at the conclusion of the discussion lasting for an hour and a half, the Hon. P. Fraser said that no immediate emergency action was planned by the Government. Mr. Fraser was in his office in Parliament Buildings till fairly late in th e evening. Before leaving for home he announced that no further news beyond that already known to the public through the press and the Daventry broadcasts had been received by the Government. There appeared to toe a stewing down of developments in London, he said, and there was naturally a corresponding slowing down here.
