REFUSAL OF RETRIAL
CONVICTED MAN USE OK INSTRUMENT (Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. Declining to accept the submission that the jury’s verdict, was against the weight oi evidence or that there were questions of law for the consideration of the Court of Appeal, Mr. Justice Reed, in a reserved judgment. refused an application for the retrial of James George Williamson.
At the recent session of the Supreme Court, Williamson was found guilty of using ail instrument with intent to procure a miscarriage and was' sentenced! to reformative detention for two years.
