Bride’s Golden Brock A wedding of widespread interest took nlace at St. Paul’s Pro-Cathe-dral, Wellington, on Thursday, when iVliss Erna Porter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Porter, Wellington, was married to Mr. Anthony Alexander Roberts, second son of Sir Alexander and Lady Roberts, Lower Hutt. The ceremony was performed by Canon Davies.

Miss Ngaire Aplin and Miss Suzanne Bothamley were the bridesjnaids. Mr. George Roberts, elder brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr. John Roberts, a younger brother, was groomsman. Ushers at the church were Mr. Dick Arthur, Mr. lan Ewen, Mr. George Porter, and Mr. Athol Lawson. i

Entering the church with her father, the bride wore a graceful gown of palest gold patterned with gold leaves. The bodice was made with a closefitting waist and sleeves full at the shoulders and fitting closely below the elbows. The full skirt swept into a long train at the back'. On her head she Wbre a coronet of orange blossoms from which fell the long tulle veil. She carried a sheaf of cream freesias. Frocks of cream chiffon shirred at the waist and hips were worn by the two bridesmaids, and on their heads they wore topknots of freesias. They carried bouquets composed of the same cream coloured flowers.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents at Oriental parade. The guests were received by Mr. and Mrs. Porter, the latter wearing a frock of steel blue wool crepe with oyster coloured embroidery at the waist, a squirrel cape and a brown feather hat. nserrJ'ole in the new French mist shade and her light brown straw hat was trimmed with toning wallflowers. The guests at the reception numbered some hundreds.
