The increased interest that is being taken in military matters in Tolaga Bay has led to the formation of a complete troop of Mounted Rifles. To provide funds for the troop, a Military Ball has been arrange : fur Thursday, August 31. The Reynolds Hall, Tolaga Bay, will be decorated with the regimental colours and a keen committee is making arrangements to see that the function is a success. Music will be provided by Mrs. Thomson’s orchestra and, as is customary in Tolaga Bay, the supper will be a particularly good one. Members of the Mounted Rifles troop will attend in uniform and it is expected that a number of patrons will travel from Gisborne.
