MEMORANDA
Members of the Gisborne Labour Representation Committee, Labour Party ■branches, the Trades Council ancl all trade unions are advised of an important meeting to (be held at '8 p.m. Ip-morrow in the Selvyn Hall. This meeting will be addressed toy Mr. J. Thorn, M.P., organiser of the campaign for Labour daily newspapers. Sister Rita Snowden, a wellknown authoress, is visiting Gisbbrne this week-end. Her books, “Through Open Windows”; “If 1 Open My Door,” and “When We Two Walked,” hav e been enjoyed by a large reading public. Sister Snowden is touring the Gisborne-Hawke’s Bay district in the interests of mission work among the Maori people and among Europeans in the back country. She travels by car and trailer, and will stay in Gisborne until next Wednesday morning, when she will rribve on to Wairoa. Sister Snowden v/ill conduct Divine service in the Te Hapara Methodist Church to-mor-row at 11 a.m., and at Wesley Church, Bright street, at 7 p.m. She will address public meetings at Mangapnpa, Atkinson street, on Monday evening, and at Bright street on Tuesday, both meetings com-' meneing at 7.80.
