TANNENBURG CEREMONY
(Reed. Aug. 26, 1.30 p.m.) BERLIN, Aug. 25
A German official announcement said the proposed celebrations marking the battle of Tannenburg have been cancelled. The German Official News Agency announced: “By reason of the tense situation the solemn ceremony arranged at Tannenburg will not take place.”
