SHEEP FARMING INDUSTRY

SITTING OF COMMISSION GISBORNE ON OCTOBER 9 The commission that is inquiring into the difficulties of the sheep industry is expected in the Gisborne district early in October. Advice was received this morning by Mr. C. Blackburn, the Poverty Bay provincial secretary of the Farmers’ Union, that the commission would hear evidence in Gisborne on October 8 and 9. It was stated also in the letter that arrangements would be made for inspections of country of particular interest to the commission.
