THIRD DAY’S RESULTS THREE TEAMS IN RUNNING FIRST GRADE TITLE (Per Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, this day. The third day of the New Zealand basketball tournament was favoured with fine weather. Three provinces, Auckland, Southland and Wellington have an equal number of points in the first grade section, and to-day’s matches will be full of interest. Any of those provinces may win the New Zealand Cup, but on yesterday’s displays, Auckland and Wellington’s chances are most favoured. Results: — First Grade Auckland 17 d. Hawke’s Bay 14.
