Another meeting of the Wellington Licensed! Victuallers’ Association will be held next week when the whole question of the “beer war” in relation to the trade will be thrashed out. Meantime, a mass meeting of the complainants is to be held at the Basin (Reserve on Sunday. There will be several speakers.

EXTENSION TO WHANGAREI

(Per Press Association.) WHANGAREI, this day. A meeting representative of workers’ unions decided last night to boycott hotels, and to refrain from drinking, until the price of beer is reduced to sixpence per Imperial pint.
