MEETING AT EPSOM CARD FOR SATURDAY EDEN HANDICAP DIVISION WIN- AND -PL ACE RETTING (By “Trenton.”) The Auckland Trotting Club will hold its meeting at Epsom on Saturday, and excellent fields are engaged. The win-and-place system of betting will be in operation. Owing to -the number of acceptors in the Mount Eden Handicap exceeding the safety limit, a division will be necessary. The prize-money has been increased for each division, and they wilt be treated as separate races, the totalisator opening on each. Novice Race The opening event is the Introductory Handicap, for novice trotters. Ihi Ihi and Sir Tony have both shown promise, and should go well from the limit.

Riptide, Snow Cloud and Wiri Bingen make ' some appeal, while among the back-markers Elliotvale and Gold Kip should offer opposition. Support may come for IHI IHI, ELLIOTVALE, SIR TONY. First Division Bingen's Bell, Belfast Jack, Te Roto and Neon Oro have all shown form, and the public may decide between TE ROTO, BELFAST JACK, BINGEN'S BEST. Second Division Clay Pot has been working well and is sure of solid support. The same can be said of Bronze King. Narbada, Flying News, Winhisway and Witmr’s Heiress should add interest to the contest. Betting may favour CLAY POT, NARBADA, BRONZE KING. August Handicap Kenworthly recently met with an accident and may not be quite ready, although he won the C. F. Mark Memorial in May. Red Flush finisned second in that event and should again go well. Sandusky was third in that race and is how 24yds. behind Red Flush instead of 36yds. ' Bayard has form to recommend him and Isabel Derby has been working in good style. The finish may be between-.-ISABEL DERBY, SANDUSKY, RED FLUSH.

Grey Lynn Handicap

There is some promising talent in the Grey Lynn Handicap and horses like Double Peter, Josedale Grattan, Grand Dame and Amywyn are likely to receive solid support. Llewellyn’s Pet and Kewpie’s Queen appear to be the ibest of the remainder.

Money may come for JQSEDALE GRATTAN, DOUBLE PETER, GRAND DAME.

Royal Oak Handicap Of those on the limit, Gay Moko makes a strong appeal, and Canadian should go well. Llanvabon, All Bingen, Reception and .Within are all likely to be supported. The finish may be between WITHIN, GAY MOKO, WORTHY MERIT. .

Orakel Handicap

Contender, winner of the Great Northern Trotting Derby, would onlj need to be at his best to take a lot of beating. Bedford, Kete Kura, Hillcrest and Tangaroa should all take part on the finish. Backing may favour CONTENDER, KETE KURA, HILLCREST.

Massey Memorial

The final event is very open. Francisco would only need to go off correctly to have an excellent chance Munga Tangi has been doing well in hiS track work, and the same applies to Shrewdy, who fell at his last start when in a winning position. He will be (bracketed with Three Bell's.
