HELD UP IN BRITAIN
COPPER AND RUBBER PURCHASES BY GERMANY (Reed. Aug. 25, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 24. The Daily Express says it is estimated by dealers that the Government's ‘ban on the export of vital commodities will hold up 5000 tons rf copper, .and 3000 -tons of ‘rubber ’allied at nearly £500,000 recently purchased! by Germany on the Lonlon market and not yet shipped.
