NEUTRALITY OF SPAIN
DIPLOMATS INSTRUCTED EVENT OF WAR CLASH (Reed. Aug. 25, 9 a.m.) ' LONDON, Aug. 24. The Hendaye correspondent of The Times says it .is understood that the Spanish Foreign Minister has circularised all Spanish representatives abroad stating that the Spanish Government proposes to maintain a policy of neutrality in the event of i European war.
An Independent Cable Service message from Madrid states tha General Franco considers the signature of the Russo-German non’ggression pact to be an annulment of the Anti-Comintern Pact. It is reported that Spain now reassumes to herself full liberty of action in respect of the external policy.
