VISIT TO DOMINION PACIFIC TROPHY GAMES (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, (this day. Cabled advice was received yesterday by the New Zealand Golf Association that the Australian Golf Union has accepted the association’s invitation for a match in the Dominion. The Australian Golf Union stated that it proposed to send 1 an allAustralian team of four and a, manager. Subject to the association’s approval, the Australians desired to play at Auckland, Christchurch, and the' New Zealand championships in Wellington. I The council of the New. Zealand Golf Association replied expressing pleasure at (the acceptance of the invitation and .approved of the union’s suggestion concerning .lire matches to be played. The Australian and New Zealand match will follow the New Zealand championships. The Australian and New Zealand 1 .golf teams will compete for the Pacific (trophy which, will take the place of the Kirk-Windever Cup. The trophy has been given by an anonymous New Zealand donor and will be played for by teams representing the whole of Australia, _ instead of by teams from' the various States. Competitions for the trophy will be played annually, alternating between Australia and New Zealand. The Australians will arrive at Auckland about October 20.
