TAKING OF FISH REGULATIONS AMENDED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The taking of any fish “by an unsportsmanlike method, not involving the-use- of" any device, or by any means (other than .hod! and line, together with landing net or gaff used to land fish taken with rod and line,” is prohibited by an amendment to the Fresh Water Fisheries Regulations 1936, issued with last night’s gazette. In brief, it is explained this prohibits taking fish by the method known as “tickling."
