HULK TO BE BURNT

FORMER SAILING VESSEL INTER - COLONIAL TRADE 1 (Per Tress Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. The old four-masted sailing vessel Holmwbod, which some 15 years ago was well known in the intercolonial trade until she was relegated to the oblivion of a hulk in Wellington harbour, was towed across Cook Strait yesterday and beached at Port Underwood where it will be destroyed iby fire in a few days. The Hblmwood originally was the Forest Home, an American vessel which made several voyages to Australia and New Zealand until she was purchased by the Holm Line in 1923. The vessel was brought across Cook Straii by the Port Whangarei and was beached at Whale Cutters’ Bay in Port Underwood where it will be burnt after anything of value has been removed.
