RUATORIA DEFEATED
match with matakaoa (Herald Correspondent.) The'Ruatoria sub-union representative football team met their Waterloo in Te Araroa when the Matakaoa representatives defeated, them by 11 points to 3. Mark Stirling, who was an emergency, was responsible for many of Matakaoa's points, with his line goalkicking. Ruatoria previously had defeated all the sub-union teams, and this was their first, defeat, Matakaoa met with two reverses during the season. Ruatoria and Tokomaru defeated them, and they drew with Waiapu.
