SEMI-FINALS REACHED POVERTY PAY TOURNEY CHAMPIONSHIP CUP Semi-final stages in the principal events have been reached by players in tile Poverty Bay Ladies’ Golf Club's open tournament. Excellent conditions favoured players yesterday and some good close play was witnessed. Results of play in the Championship Cup quarter-finals were: Mrs. Slater beat Miss Weeks; Mrs. J. Hutchinson beat Mrs. R. Hutchinson: Mrs. D E. Chrisp beat Miss Fail-brother; Mrs. McFadyen beat Miss Ormond. The draw for play to-day is as follows: —

This week’s challengers will be Mrs. Lee and Mis s Price. Mrs. Clarke won by default from Miss McKenzie for the Y. McMurray Star and is challenged this week by Miss Bell.
