PUBLIC HOUSE IS PRIVATE
LONDON, July 5. A public house is not a public place within the meaning of the Street Betting Act, decided Kingston (Surrey) magistrates yesterday. They dismissed a case against a man said to have been seen taking bets in the bar of a public house.
