Alexandra Freezing Works

It is rumoured that the Alexandra freezing works, Southland, which had been oonductedi by the late Mr. R. S. Black for some years, have been sold to Messrs. Borthiwick and Sons, a large meat freezing company. Mr. Black during his lifetime expended much money and energy on the, works and froze and exported considerable quantities of rabbits. In later years he ore-cooled fruit and proved to growers and the Government what could be done in this class of work. It is reported that the supposed new proprietors intend to expand the capacity of the works.
