Sport and General Photo. DR. GERALD GOLDNER, an American clergyman who was kidnapped by Arabs near the Dead Sea when returning from Marsaba the course of a tour of the Holy Land. He was not released until £SOO ransom had been paid. His father, who is also a clergyman, was kidnapped at the same time, hut was released to raise the ransom for his son.
