Gisborne Buses
An increase of more than Id per mile in the earnings of the municipal buses during the fortnight ended August 13, compared with the corresponding period last year, was reported to the Gisborne Borough Council last nirht ibv ’the bus manager, Mr. K. G. Ball. The earnings for the past fortnight totalled £307 19s 7d in fares and subsidies, equal to 12.23 d per mile on a total running of 0040 miles. The average per mile a year previously was 11.21 d.
