SUNDAY CONCERTS
THREE GRANTED Three applications to hold Sunday concerts during the next three weeks were granted by the Gisborne Borough Council last nigh*. The Sports Carnival Queen Committee was granted permission to hold a Sunday concede in the King’s Theatre on September 3, and the Maori Queen Committee in the Majestic Theatre on August 27. The Rev. K. Liggett was granted permission to hold a Sunday concert, on September 10 in aid of the Whan'gara Parish Choir fund..
