RUGBY FOOTBALL

CLUB GAMES AGAIN

COLLEGIATE FIXTURE

To-day’s programme of Rugby matches at the Oval, under the supervision of the Poverty Bay Rugby Union, comprised club fixtures in several grades, with the added 'attraction, of the collegiate match between Sacred Heart, Auckland, and Gisborne High. This match was expected to produce a high-class display of Rugby, with the Gisborne team performing creditably against an experienced and hitherto successful metropolitan college team. Weather conditions were ideal, and the grounds were in excellent order. Early grade scores, at 2.30 p.m., were as under: — Juniors Marist 15, HJ3.0.8. 8. Thirds Marist 29, Celtic 3.
