NINE EXPECTED

COMING SEASON’S TRIPS

At least nine cruise ships, eight from Australia and one on a round-the-world. voyage, are to call at New Zealand during the coming season, and their itineraries have now been arranged. The ships from Australia will, mainly follow the usual route- — from Brisbane to Auckland and Wellington.—but one interesting deviation is to be made by the Orl'ord. She wilt go to Wellington first, then to Picton, cruise in Pelorous Sound, and return to Sydney. This route is something new for pleasure ships.

The round-the-world liner which is corning is the Cunard-Whitc Star steadier Franconia, ,no stranger to these waters. She will visit Wellington from Sydney, Hobart and George and Milford Sounds, and is due on the morning of April 24. She will leave that night for Auckland and will sail from there on the night of April 28 for Suva, Honolulu, San Pedro, Balboa, Cristobal, and New York. She will finish her cruise at New York, where she is due on May 31.
