WOMAN WINS TITLE
MINIATURE RIFLE TESTS SOUTH ISLAND MEETING' (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. Two hundred and forty-nine shooters, including 51 ladies, took part in the South Island miniature ride championship meeting held at Oamaru on Saturday night. , A remarkable record was put up by Mrs. Brown, Pleasant Point, who won the individual South Island championship with a double possible, including 15 inner bulls.
Out of an entry of 40 teams, Willowbridge, in the shoot-ofT beat City Guards (Invercargill), both scoring 397 out of 400 for the club teams’ championship. Glen it i won the ladies’ teams match with 385. The inter-association representative teams' match was won by North Otago No. 1 with a score of 1595 out,of 1000, followed by Soufii-land-Otago No. 1 and Waimate No. 1 with 1574. The scoring was exceptionally high, with 71 possibles and 10 double possibles. 1
