DANCE IN TIKITIKI

DENTAL CLINIC FUND AYE I ;ij -SUPPORTED E FFORT (Herald Correspondent.) The Tawhiwhirangi Memorial Hall, Tikitiki, with its magnificently carved panels and tukutuku work, made a pretty setting last Thursday evening for the dance held in aid of the dental clinic funds. It was a very enjoyable and jolly function, the attendance of parents and supporters being a fine compliment to the work of the committee.

The music was provided by Johnnie Manuel’s orchestra, and during the supper interval enjoyable extras were, played by Mrs. N. H. Tuck, and Mrs. Anderson. The duties of M.C. were efficiently carried out by Mr. Rupert Wi Ilongi. The balloon dance was won by Mr. N. Tuck and Miss Kershaw, the spot waltz by Mr. ,T. Kirk, and the competition by Mr. Pat Hyland. Among the many present were Mesdames A. Dobson, N. H. Tuck, J. F. Wilcox, M. G. Thomson, A. L. Ferguson, T. Linch, J. L. Coats, Tipi Kaa, Kururangi, B. Katae, N. Wawatai, and Koia; Misses B. Goddard, P. Parr, M. Kershaw, P. and J. Tuck, J. Yates, M. Hyland, M. Tibbie, J. Archibald, J. Randerson, H. Anderson, W. E. Gudgeon, P. Yates, J. D. O’Dwyer, F. R. Short, D. Tuck, F. Solomon, Borge, P. Yates, M. Thomas, J. Hyland, R. Tibbie, P. Weka, J. Manuel, J. Smith, J. Kirk, T. Pokai, M. Linch, C. Turner, B. Kohere. and N. Rangihuna.
