EASTERN TOURNEY TEAM

FOUR CHANGES MADE

The team to represent Eastern Southland in the New Zealand women’s hockey tournament in Blenheim, commencing on Saturday, was selected at the end of last week. No decision had been made then in regard to two of the full-backs to travel to Blenheim, but of the 13 announced so far there are four changes from last year’s team in Gisborne. The selected players comprise the following, the players who were in Gisborne last year being _ indicated Gisborne last year being indicated with an asterisk: Goal-keeper, xMiss J. Browning; full-back, xMiss A. McDonald; halves, xMisses A. McLaren, A. Adam, xD. McDonald, J. Mitchell; forwards, xMisses A. Nicol, deputy captain, xM. White, xM. Sheriff, captain),. xG. Jones, xJ. Mcßain, J. Adam, and M. Sinclair. Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Hamilton will again travel with the team as manager and chaperorl.
