ARMY APPOINTMENTS
POSTS FOR GENERALS (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Aug. 15. The King has approved of the appointment of Major-General A. F. Hartley, of the Indian Army, to be Quarter-Master General in India as from March, 1940. and Major-General C. N. F. Broad, of the British Service to be General-Officer Commanding in Chief of the Eastern Command as from April, 1940.
