WATERLOO CUP
BIG COURSING EVENT FIXTURE IX HASTINGS DRAW ANNOUNCED (Special to the Herald.) NAPIER, this day. Record entries have been received for the Waterloo Cup, the big greyhound coursing event of Lne year, which is to be held in Hastings tomorrow, Friday and Saturday. The final payments show that dogs from Napier. Hastings, Gisborne, Masterton, Papakura, Waihi, Wellington, Waipukurau, Westfield, Hamilton East, Dannevirke, Wanganui and Oamaru will take part in the event. Included in the 64 dogs scheduled to compete are 1G dogs from Gisborne, comprising the cream of the local dog-racing talent, and high hopes are entertained that these dogs will play a prominent part in the event. The draw for the first round is as follows:
