INTOXICATION IN CAR LICENSE SUSPENDED (Per Press Association.) GREYMOUTH. this day. Pleading guilty to a charge of intoxication while in charge of a car. Thomas Henry Roberts, aged 25, a salesman, Wellington, was fined £ls and his license was suspended' until May 21, 1941, in the Magistrate’s Court to-day.

A plea was made by his counsel for non-cancellation of the license in view of the defendant’s occupation.

The magistrate stated that cancellation of the license was an appropriate penalty. The defendant was fortunate not to be imprisoned.
