PROPERTY LAW BILL
COMMITTEE AMENDMENT (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Property Law Amendment Bill in charge of the Attorney-General has been returned from the Statutes Revision Committee of the House of Representatives with a number of amendments, mainly of a machinery character.
A new clause materially alters the procedure where a mortgagor has defaulted and Ithe mortgagee lias secured (permission, to exercise the right of sale. The new clause gives the mortgagor the opportunity of remedying /.he default before the date of sale. He must pay any expense which has been incurred in this respect. The registrar may postpone the date fixed for sale for one month if there is a prospect of a settlement.
