INTOXICATED IN CHARGE TOLAGA BAY NATIVE (Special to the Herald.) TOLAGA BAY, this day. Stated by the prosecution to have been intoxicated while in charge of a motor-cycle at Tolaga Bay on Saturday, a Maori, Charlie Tauhore. aged 25, appeared before Messrs. J. P. Guthrie and 'll. L. Tempest, J.P.s, in the Police Court yesterday. Constable W. H. Bradley, who prosecuted, said that he had seen the defendant fall off a motor-cycle in Tplaga Bay on Saturday and, on going over, had found him to be intoxicated, Tauhore was arrested and charged on Monday with having been intoxicated while in charge of a motor-cycle. The defendant was convicted and fined £lO. His license was cancelled and he was prohibited from obtaining another until June 1, 1941.
