DAMAGED AIR LINER
FLIGHT TO PALMERSTON AIRSCREWS REPLACED fP«»r PrfRR Association.) , NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. Union Airways air-liner I-Cahu, which was damaged when landing at New Plymouth airport on July 23. was Mown to Palmerston North yesterday afternoon, temporary repairs made after the accident having been approved by the Government aircraft inspector, Mr. A. P. Hunt. Since the mishap two of the company's engineers have been working on the aeroplane, temporary repairs to the damaged landing gear having been the chief aspect in addition to certain strengthening world Botli the metal airscrews of the twin-engined plane were replaced. The damaged airscrews, the tips of which were -bent, have been sent to the Lockheed Corporation factory at Burbank, California.
