ADVICE OP MR. COATES

(For Press Association.) PALMERSTON N„ this day. An appeal for greater efforts in production and greater interest in the defence of the country were the chief features of a speech delivered at Rongotea last night by the Rt. lion. ,T, G. Coates.

He criticised the policy of the Labour Government, stating ■ that there were clear signs on every hand of inflation which would be paid for by the lower income group and he prophesied rising prices and further taxation.

A sustained effort t'o increase production was urgently needed right down to the humblest worker in the land, said Mr. Coates.
