P.O. SAVINGS BANK

Deposits with the Post Office Savings Bank during June totalled £2,363,406, an increase of £26,923 above the May figure, reports the Government Statistician. The amount of withdrawals was considerably less than in the previous month, the June total being £2,847,796, as compared with £3,741,884 in May. The excess of withdrawals over deposits, which has been in evidence for many months past, still continues, the June excess being £484,390.
