MARTHA GOLD MINE ■Following a review of the position of the underground and surface work-, ings the management of the Martha Gold Mining Company (Waihi), Limited, decided last week lo dispense with the services of upward of 30 men. The number is comparatively small, in view of the large number of .men employed, and the men put off will not affect the tonmage output. The management explained that if was merely a policy of retrenchment.
