JUDGING A SECOND
A method of judging a second was given by Mr. Justice Blair in the Supreme Court in Hamilton during the hearing of a civil action. Counsel had suggested that the time in which one could say “Jack Robinson” denoted the length of one second. “That is not correct,” commented His Honour. “Those words are 100 long. If a person wishes to count three seconds lie should say. ‘One-one, twotwo, three-three.’ ”
