Ridden by A. E. Ellis on Saturday. Gold Salute won fairly easily after being in a good position all of the way.

This Lord Warden colt promises to develop into one of the best of the southern three-year-olds, and even at this stage makes a strong appeal as a Derby candidate. Two-year-old Parade

Two-year-old parades are often good guides to early events in this class.

At Riccarton 13 youngsters were paraded, and were allowed to run :n two divisions from the distance to the winning post. Although they were not asked for a serious lest, some showed marked ability to gallop, and will be interesting to follow in their later exploits. The first division was led home by Dr. M. G. Louisson’s Don't Forget, by Myosotis from Skyrest, who ■was not far in front of the same owner's Whi.pland, by Ringmaster from Anklet, and in the second division, Mr. E. Hay's Doria, toy Iliad from Princess Doreen (winner of the 1934 Winter Cup) finished in front of Mr. G. H. Grigg’s Speedwell, by Myosotis from Love in the Mist.
