16 Sheep Killed By Dogs

Sixteen sheep on the farm of Mr. L. G. Matthews, of Aurerc, near Mangonui, Nortli Auckland, were killed by two dogs which visited the property on a recent morning. In addition, 215 other sheep were injured. The two dogs were inter shot. The dogs forced some of the sheep over cliffs on the property, crashing to death on the rocks below. Others were driven for miles out on to an adjoining beach, while some were forced into a river which runs through the farm.
