INTOXICATED DRIVER

LIQUOR IN GAR

(Per Press Association.) HAMILTON, this day. Albert Purcell, aged 56, a bushman, was charged in the Police Court today with being intoxicated in charge of a car last night and was sentenced to three weeks’ imprisonment. His license was- suspended and he was prohibited from obtaining another until June, 1941. 'The evidence showed that Purcell was found in the car off the road sitting in the back seat with his legs dangling over the front seat. Portion of a bottle of brandy and beer were in the car.
