In games to have concluded to-day, Hampshire in the first innings made 233 runs. Bailey, 94. Cover five for 41). Surrey in the first strike made 99 runs for two wickets. Play was abandoned and the match was drawn. Gloucester in the first innings declared with seven wickets down for 223 runs, and in the second declared with 128 for three wickets. (Hammond not out 73). Glamorgan, in the first declared with seven wickets down for 235 (Smart not out 101), and in the second scored 120 for four wickets (Smart not out 07). Glamorgan won by six wickets. ■Middlesex, in the first innings, made 353 runs (Edrich 91 and J. Smith, not out 101). Kent in the first made 133 (Allen six for 40), and folic,wed on to make 156 ( Ames 89 and Peebles four for 46). Middlesex won by an innings and 64 runs. Essex in the first innings declared with eight wickets down for 289 runs. Lancashire, in the first, made 83 for two wickets. Play was abandoned and the match was drawn.
Yorkshire in the first innings made 155 (Walsh, five for 56, and Drake four for 43), and in the second declared with three wickets down for 134 runs. Leicester in the first made 89 (Robinson six for 34), and in the second 103 (Johnson five for 16). Yorkshire won by 97 runs.
Northants in the first innings made 169 runs (G. Pope six for 38), and in the second lost eight wickets for 208 (Brookes, not out, 101). Derby, in the first declared with six wickets down for 199 runs. Derby won on the first innings.
Notts in the first innings made 111 (Andrews six for 47 and Meyer four for 28). and in the second declared with 154 runs for five wickets (liardstaff 75). 'Somerset in the first strike made 72 runs (Voce eight for 30), and in the second 96 (Butler six for 17). Notts won by 97 runs. Sussex in the first innings made 62 runs (Martin eight for 24). and in the second 172 (Martin five for 64). Worcester in the first strike declared with 297 runs for eight wickets. Worcester won by an innings and 63 runs.
